In Memory of Connie Cowan

In Loving Memory of Connie Cowan

July 25, 1930 - May 8, 2024

Connie Cowan was an integral part of our inception, helping set up and organize the Coachella Valley Historical Society, Inc. (aka Coachella Valley History Museum) very early on. She also volunteered as a docent, set up the bus tours that continue to bring local elementary school children to our campus to learn about local history, and was the official Archivist for many years. The iconic water tower on our campus was also delivered to the Museum by Connie’s efforts. To read more about Connie's life and legacy, click here: https://www.desertsun.com/obituaries/pyrk0819912

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Connie's life will be held on Thursday, May 23rd, at 10:00 am, at Coachella Valley Cemetery. Following the service, a reception will be held at Coachella Valley History Museum (82616 Miles Ave, Indio, CA 92201). All who knew Connie are invited to join in commemorating her life and sharing fond memories.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Coachella Valley History Museum in honor of Connie’s memory.
