Presented by the Guitron Family, this special historic narrative and demonstration features a local group of young girls and their horses carrying on the Charro tradition. The “Charreria” was developed in Mexico and is a mix of rodeo skills and dressage with riders showing traditional competitive roping and ranch skills. The adult Charros dress in exquisite traditional clothing and the young girls wear beautiful dresses as they demonstrate their horsemanship skills. The horses display custom tack and grooming and perform skills like the famed Lipizzaner dancing horses of Austria. The Adelitas represent the grace and feminine beauty of Charro and Vaquero horsemanship. This group of young women executes elegant equestrian exercises. There will be 10 riders and 10 horses during the event on the 20th demonstrating their skills along with a vaquero showing intricate roping skills.

Coachella Valley History Museum is located at 82616 Miles Ave, Indio, CA 92201.
