Get aboard the new Gardens & Railway exhibit coming to Coachella Valley History Museum! Construction is underway on this exciting addition encompassing the 15,000-square-foot lot on the northeast corner of the museum’s campus. This project will feature:
drought-tolerant demonstration gardens, including an Agave Garden, Cactus Garden, Monarch Butterfly Monitoring Station, Xeriscape Garden, Succulent Garden, Hummingbird Garden, Colorado Desert Garden, Ethno Botanical Garden, Southwest Garden, and Raised Community Gardens
an immersive and interactive railway exhibit in an actual 1950s stainless steel railway car that will be converted to replicate Southern Pacific Sunset Limited dining and lounge cars of the era
